We once again drove into DC and parked in the same garage. It was $25 per day. If you think that’s high, it would’ve cost each of us $22 each day if we had taken the Metro. 22×8 = $176 per DAY!
We started out at the National Museum of American History. Oddly enough, we didn’t take any pictures. We did a lot of reading there.
Next we visited the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
First and foremost was the Batmobile.

The Gem and Mineral exhibit was a huge hit with our family. We’re a bunch of rock lovers.

We got to see the Hope Diamond.

We then went to the Oceans exhibit.

Jedidiah thought he could scare the polar bear.

Sadly the animal and human history exhibits are all full of evolution and millions of years of untruths being taught as truth.
Next we visited the International Spy Museum. It was fun. Interactive as you pretend you are a spy. We were too busy playing spy to take pictures.
We were there until closing time.
We walked to Ford’s Theatre to take pictures outside as it had already closed for the day.

Across the street from the theatre is the building called the Peterson House (pink house on the left) in which Lincoln died.

We seemed to end up each evening at the Washington Memorial. This particular evening was the first where the skies were actually (relatively) clear of clouds.
