Let the good times roll

So, van is in the shop. We won’t have it for 4-5 days.

Our auto insurance pays for a rental vehicle while ours is in the shop, however, there are no available rental cars in the area. With the flooding from hurricane Florence  in NC and SC all the rental cars are being used by folks that lost theirs.

Then the generator on the motor home started acting up and shutting itself off. Donald and the boys worked all afternoon to try to figure it out. They decided that the fuel filter was the problem but by then all the stores were closed. We had no power in the motor home which meant no air conditioning (it was in the high 80’s yesterday)

So, we spent the night in the gym. (Thanks Mike and Andy!)

The good news is we slept good in the cool gym.

More good news is that the place that sells the fuel filter we needed was only a 20 minute walk from where we are parked so they got and installed the new filter this morning. The generator is once again happy and putting out power in the motor home (which means air conditioning, YAY!)

God is good. All. The. Time.

Hope you have a blessed day!

  1. Yay!!! What a rescue! Sometimes I shy away from a test cause I forget that I must be tested on what I’ve learned. I’m thankful for this post!

  2. Suzie Q you are so right; God is good all the time. Even when it don’t feel good???
So glad to be able to hear how you guys are making out. Electric power was off in Taylor’s Chapel for 8
Days during Hurricane Florence. Everyone at 42J Mc Lane left except Wilkie. He referred to the home place as the Old Ship of Zion and said he would be safe; and so he was?. Love you guys❤️❤️

Grateful your motor home troubles occurred for you to have a safe haven while waiting for repair.
