Gripz Gym competition

October 19 & 20, 2018

We left the farm and headed south towards Detroit, MI for competition on Saturday.

We stayed at Haas Lake Park Campground. It was a nice place that had four small lakes. We didn’t spend much time at the campground, mostly just sleeping. But it was a quiet place.

Gripz Gym held competition for young adult, masters (40+) and pro adults on Saturday.

We arrived at the gym around 11am and in the parking lot, the kids talked Donald into competing in the masters category (40+ years of age).

Jeremiah’s age group went first.

Jeremiah placed 2nd. He designed his t-shirt.

I snapped a picture of the back for you to see:

Donald’s group went next. They call his group the Masters (40+).

He placed 6th and qualified for the National finals in February. He’s on the left in the red t-shirt.

Jeshuah’s group ran last. He was the first finisher of the competition. Thus gym gave $100 to the person who finished the course first. He was in first place for most of the competition. The third-to-the-last guy finished the course 20 seconds faster than Jeshuah. So that bumped him down to 2nd place. It still was a great run and great fun.

We are headed back north to the farm for some more harvesting and plowing with cousins.
