Findlay, Ohio

November 3 & 4, 2018

We left Nappanee, Indiana and headed to Findlay, Ohio for another ninja competition.

This one was held at XT Fitness owned by Jim and Dyan Steffen in Findlay. It was a good competition that was challenging yet fun. Jim and Dyan are really nice folks. So glad we met them! Above is a link to their website and here is their FB page. If you’re in or near Findlay, Ohio be sure to check out their gym!

It was an adult-only competition so Jeshuah was the only one that signed up to compete. He placed 11th out of 25 in the pro male category. (This video clip is raw and uncut from the phone. Jeshuah will make a better version from the YI sport camera to post later when we get a fast wi-fi connection.)

At the very last minute (literally, moments before the Master’s competition began), we signed Donald up. (0:

He placed 5th out of 11 in his 40+ category. (This is just short 30 second clip).

Audrah and Jed in the kid area of the gym.

Afterwards we hit Culver’s for supper and on the way stopped to see these incredibly huge windmills in town.

After Culver’s, on recommendation from Jim at the gym (had to say that (0:), we visited Dietsch Brothers’ Dessert Shop

If you like chocolate, be warned, there’s a LOT of it in this store.

They also have an ice cream shop in the store. We decided it was really too cold outside to enjoy ice cream so we bought several different kinds of filled chocolates to sample. We didn’t eat right there in the shop as some of the family like to eat their chocolate with a large glass of cold milk. So we ran by the grocery store and grabbed a gallon and headed back to the motor home to enjoy our treats.

They were indeed yummy and disappeared quickly.

We spent Saturday night again in the parking lot at the gym.

We attended New Life Assembly of God for their 11am service on Sunday morning (thanks Jesse from XT Fitness for inviting us!). It was an inspiring, truthful, Scripture-filled message and a blessed time of communion and singing.

Headed to Hocking Hills State Park.
