Hocking Hills State Park in southern Ohio is simply beautiful and one needs 3-4 days to visit every part of the park.
Today we hiked the Old Man’s Cave trail and Ash Cave.
The fall colors are very brilliant and the cooler temperatures had us wearing our jackets. Since we are visiting in the off season, there are not very many other sight-seers in the parks.

Layer upon layer of sandstone. You get the feeling of the size of the place when compared to Jeshuah sitting in the cave.

Ash Cave.
The hike to this area is a short, easy walk so if you’re in the area and needing an easy hike, this is the one you want to take. As we looked and wandered in the cave, we wondered what the Indians did here and when they were here. Did they use this as a meeting place? Celebration place? Wintering home?

Had a little accident ….can you guess who? (0:

My, that IS beautiful!
