Guadalupe State Park

December 29, 2018

The trails here at the park are closed because of the rain that came a few days ago.

So we went on a few guided hikes with park rangers today.

First this morning was to Honey Creek State Natural Area. This is a closed off area that only allows people in with a guide.

Strange place for a cactus to grow.

We went back to the motor home for some hot chili for lunch.

Then in the afternoon we returned for another hike at a different trail in the park. We saw some very old bald cypress trees.

After the hike, we visited the Discovery Center.
