City Qualifiers ANW

March 24,  2019

Big night tonight, taping for the show starts at 8pm.

This afternoon, Donald and Jeshuah and Josiah were trying to locate a leak somewhere.

Donald developed a migraine before we went. It appears that he was having some withdrawal from caffeine which usually gives him a terrible headache and the pukes.

He decided to come along anyways and hopefully feel better by the time taping began. We left around 3pm.

Jeshuah drove. Unfortunately, Donald began to vomit. We were prepared with ziplock bags, a bowl and towel. No one in our family particularly enjoys hearing him vomit…he’s pretty forceful. Josiah was in the navigator seat up front and turned on the CD player full blast to whatever was queued. So, we rolled down the windows and listened to “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” at full blast driving down I-75!

Suzie and the kids left Donald to sleep in the van while they went to watch some more course testing. We came back at 6pm to eat some supper we had brought along.

Donald slept a couple of hours in the van and was feeling better so he joined us waiting in line.

We’re in!

We stood most of the night as the bleachers were pretty much full. Yes, we watched and cheered from 9pm til 6am! The weather was nice. We dressed in layers so that we could put sweatshirts and jackets as the night got colder.

We had a bunch of people to cheer for. Some did fantastic and some were disappointed. We all signed papers saying we would not share what happened on the course nor would we share the actual course and it’s obstacles, so, I cannot post what we saw or the outcomes. I  do believe some of the us were in the background of several interviews as well. You’ll just have to watch the show when it airs. (0:

Drove back to the motor home and crashed at 7am.

We stood for 90+ minutes before getting in.
