We got up at 6:30am and were fed and on the road by 7am. On our drive into Oklahoma City, Suzie spotted a Rib Crib restaurant. This was one of Donald’s favorite BBQ places when we lived in Lakeland. Sadly it closed and there weren’t any others in FL or anywhere near where we lived in NC.

So, plans were made for lunch later in the day to return there.
Got to the place for the walk on just in time to move from outdoors to indoors. It was cold and very windy making it even colder so they moved inside for some warmth.
There were around 100 people putting their names into the lottery. 20 names are chosen at random from a fishbowl.

It’s always fun meeting up with ninja friends.

In ninja, there is lots of waiting around time…

Jeshuah got his ticket and put it in the fishbowl. Then the crowd moved outdoors for the drawing. Unfortunately, Jeshuah’s name was not drawn. 19 men and 1 woman got their names picked.
But we did get a photo with Peter (director of casting) with the fishbowl they use for drawing names.

We decided to head downtown to the Capitol building (where the course is set up) to get a peek at the course. There were folks there doing some course testing.

Photos of the obstacles are not supposed to be posted on social media before the show airs so I won’t have any closer shots.
Downtown government buildings.

After a couple of hours of watching course testing, we decided to go to Rib Crib.
We weren’t disappointed.

Fooling around while waiting for our food. These guys are so fun to be with. Just love them.

Ribs, one of Donald’s favorite foods.

Along with onion rings, fried okra, garlic toast and a dill pickle.

When we returned to our friend’s house, where we are parked and staying, Donald and the boys started some work on the motor home. We have a hydraulic leak somewhere and it is leaking all over the van when it is being towed. So they spent about 2 hours trying to find the leak and finally did.
The motor is located in the rear of the motor home which means it is in the bedroom. So they have to access it from the floor in the bedroom.

Can you see Donald’s head under the RV? Look right above the W in Newmar.

So very thankful for a husband who is a “fixer”. It goes with his brilliant mechanical mind. (0:
