The original plan was to head west after UNAA finals in Minnesota this past weekend.
But…
Ninjas were talking about the State Games being held in Lynchburg, VA this coming weekend. Jeshuah and Jeremiah found out that they could sign up and didn’t have to qualify. So, each will compete in the adult pro group and they will also compete as a two man team in the team competition.
So, that means we are heading east instead of west.
We left our campground at 11am (Central Time). We have driven through Iowa and are presently in Illinois (it’s 7pm Central). We’ll keep driving until Donald gets tired and stop at a Walmart overnight.
Seeing lots and lots of farming country. It is very nice to see all the lush green crops and watch the rows go past, all so neat and tidy. The organized side of me (Suzie) really enjoys watching the rows.(0:
Kids have done a full day of school as we’ve been traveling most of the day. We’ll get in another full day tomorrow.
Since we’ll be east of the Mississippi and with the UBW competition coming up Labor Day weekend, we’ve decided to stay east. So, we’ll be looking to maybe visit Kitty Hawk in NC and the Blue Ridge Parkway too.
We have some housekeeping to do in NC so we’ll probably be in Rocky Mount NC the last week of August. If any NC friends want to try to meet up, please text or leave a comment and we’ll see what we can do.
Cool video before we headed out, this whirly-gig had the fruit attached.
Good Morning. It’s the Whisenhunts. It was such a joy to meet you all this weekend. If you are staying east, come to Galax, VA and visit with us. We have the Old Time Fiddler’s Convention going on, and a new gym with some Ninja Obstacles just opened in Galax yesterday. We have a parking lot behind the building we live in where you can park or there are several local RV parks. We’d love to have you!
Thank for your kind words Crystal! We will definitely save your info for whenever we come through your way. Thanks for the offer of hospitality. (0:
