Today we headed to Sarasota to a benefit auction for Haiti put on yearly by the Amish-Mennonites. Cousin Jimmy is an auctioneer and he was working the tool auction today.
When we arrived, he was spotting (watching the crowd for bids and also showing the items being auctioned off to the crowd).
He grabbed Jeremiah and put him to work.

We ate some homemade hot pretzels and donuts that they were selling there. YUM!!
Then we headed over to a park to play some shuffleboard.

That’s Jimmy’s dad playing with Jedidiah. After our games, he took us on a little hike to a tangerine bush loaded with ripe tangerines. We snacked right there in the woods!!
We took the back way home (instead of the interstate). This is what I think of when I think of Florida: not beaches, resorts and theme parks. (0:
Lots of open land…much with cattle grazing on it…and rows and rows of citrus trees.
