Monday 15th
Roan Mountain
When we arrived, the fog was so thick you could see nothing.

We decided to hang around and see what might happen.

The wind shifted and started blowing the fog away.

Hiking through some woods

Thought this looked like something was creeping through the bushes and making them move.

Orange azaleas, a rarity.

Visiting the balds

Walked some more of the Appalachian trail.

Tuesday 16th
Grandfather Mountain

Very foggy and rainy today.

After a couple of hours it cleared up a little. We visited some animal exhibits.

Comparing wing span with an eagle.
