The reason we headed to North Carolina was Jed wanted to be with his brothers for his 12th birthday (October 23rd). We also wanted to watch American Ninja Warrior with Jeshuah since he got on the show and was going to be having several viewing parties at his gym to watch the episodes.
We arrived in NC and surprised Jeshuah and Jeremiah at Raven Rock Park (thanks Julia for setting it up for me). They came thinking they were going on a mountain bike ride. We surprised them by being there. (They did get the bike ride in too).
So happy to be with big brother!
This post has a popcorn assortment of the things we did over the weeks that we were in North Carolina.
The Martin family had us over. They have adopted Jeshuah and Jeremiah into their family.

We attended a baseball game of one of Jed’s former teammates. The sunset that evening was gorgeous. And Chaz’s team won!

He’s moving on to the FINALS!!! 11th out of 12. He was one of only 2 rookies that made it to the finals!

Becky had us over for lunch on his birthday.
There are always baby chicks at her house.
Jeshuah went out with us for pizza for Jed’s birthday. We went to BLAZE pizza. We’d never been before. I like their concept. You order your toppings (they only do one size) and they throw it in the wood fired oven. Your pizza is out in about 5 minutes.
We ran into Target and got Jed a skateboard and helmet for his birthday. They had costumes out. Suzie liked the food ones.
Had lunch with some friends that we hadn’t seen in years. Ana used to clean our house when Kyrah was a baby.
Jesse and Leigh had us over for grilled hamburgers and fellowship. Their girls are growing up so fast.

Hanging out with the duPonts. They let us have a birthday party for Jed at their house on Sunday.
Jeshuah and Jeremiah were able to come hang out for the day too and we used Jennifer’s oven to bake a chocolate peanut butter cake.

Next day Ms. Phyllis had us over for homemade pizza.
Then we had supper at Golden Corral with Norma, Luis and Nicholas.
The Martins had us over again for dinner before the American Ninja Warrior finals episode (Jeshuah made it to the finals).
Hanging out at Rock Solid Warrior watching ANW. Unfortunately, Jeshuah’s run was not show this week. So…hopefully next week.

Then we headed over to the duPonts for supper and a bonfire. Audrah and Analeigh played dressup.
