Catching up!!

Wow, It’s been 6  months since I’ve posted. Lots going on. I’m going to try to catch you all up a bit in the next couple of posts.

After hanging out with Jeshuah and watching him compete on American Ninja Warrior, we headed south.

We spent Thanksgiving in Attapulgus, GA with Denise and Adam and their families. Donald grew up with Denise and her sister. They have a beautiful cattle ranch in the country there.

Lots of yummy food!!

The prize cow!!

Denise’s mom and our crew.

Sunset was gorgeous.

After Thanksgiving we headed to Pomona Park, Florida. We stayed with Daniel and Ashely and kiddos. (Daniel is a nephew on Donald’s side of the family).

Their kids wanted to spend the night in the RV so we had a slumber party in there.

Their hometown does Christmas fireworks.

We got to spend some time with Donald’s family. Here we are at Pitmasters in DeLand, FL. Great BBQ place.

St. Augustine

We spent the day in St. Augustine today. First was a visit to the fort. Castillo de san Marcos.

Is it loaded????

The fort is build out of cocina shell…which doesn’t crack or break when hit by a cannon ball, it absorbs it!

A tiny plant growing on one of the walls.

These cannons were quite ornate.

Then we took a stroll downtown.

Visited the oldest wooden schoolhouse in America.

Then we walked the streets downtown and watched the carriages and boats in the sunset.

Christmas lights decorating the main street.

We took a day trip to meet up with one on Donald’s cousins whom he hasn’t seen in a couple decades. We met on Amelia Island.

Found some shark teeth…

and saw a WHALE!!

We had lunch on the beach before heading back.

  1. Going to try to catch up and then stay current.

We are currently staying with my parents as my father (he’s 87) is ailing and in hospice care. My mom (she’s 80 years old) no longer can take care of him so the burden has fallen to me. Thankfully we are unattached to a house (got the RV parked at my sister’s house in Arcadia, FL).

There isn’t much going on here.

Hope you two are doing well.
