Luray Caverns & Whiteoak Canyon Waterfall VA

September 21 & 22, 2018

On Friday we visited Luray Caverns.

This cavern was discovered in the 1800’s. It is really awesome to be underground and see all the magnificent artwork made by the Master Creator.

We all wore jackets as it is noticeably cooler underground.

This pool of water reflected the stalactites so well.

We packed a lunch and had PBJ sandwiches in the parking lot before leaving Luray Caverns for Skyline Drive once again.

We drove to another entrance to the Shenendoah National Park and hiked a mile to Whiteoak Canyon waterfall.

All the boys got in the frigid waters.

We hiked back and drove the Skyline back…..it was so foggy that we couldn’t see any of the mountains at the overlook points.

Stopped at Wal-mart and grabbed some sub sandwiches for supper. Got back to the motor home and crashed.

On Saturday, Donald and the kids took a friend, who had joined us for ninja competition, back to the same waterfall. Suzie stayed at the campground to catch up on blogging and other chores.
