Today marks one month that we have been on the road in our travelling house. We have adjusted to a lot of new things and are getting faster at setting up/tearing down everything when we arrive/leave a place.
We’re definitely enjoying being with each other and the freedom we have to choose where we are going to next (some days that decision is made as we are pulling out of a campground (0: ).
Both Jeremiah and Jeshuah competed in an NNL competition today at Ninja Warrior Playground in Winchester, VA.
Jeremiah competed in the 16-17 year old age group and Jeshuah in the pro adult group. Both groups were combined so they ran the same course during the same wave.
Jeremiah ran great and placed 2nd behind his friend Brett Strong who placed 1st. Brett made it one obstacle further than Jeremiah. There were only two male competitors in their age group (which is why there isn’t a third person on the podium getting an award).

Jeshuah ran after Jeremiah and started out fast and strong. But his early in his run, his right foot slipped off on a balance obstacle and his foot touched the pad underneath so that counted as a fail, which in NNL (National Ninja League) means you are done.
We don’t have video of Jeremiah’s run because the YI (our sports camera) failed during recording.
We did get Jeshuah’s run on our phone. We’ll have to do that from now on for backup.
After they finished that wave of runners, the gym gives the competitors “redemption time” so they can get back on the course and try to defeat the obstacle that got them and also to try the obstacles they never got to. Before competition, no competitor is allowed to try out or even touch an obstacle, they can only look at it and figure it out in their heads.
Both had fun and got to see friends and visit with them at the competition. We went out to supper at a burger restaurant afterward with some of the ninjas and had a good time of food and visiting.
Wow! Can’t believe it has already been a month! Love seeing all your posts and all the beautiful places you’ve been.
Way to go ninjas! That looks like a lot of fun. I’m glad you guys are having such a wonderful time. Keep those posts coming.
Ninja fun! Thanks for sharing.
