Today we entered Cajun country.
There was a lot of holiday traffic heading back today and the traffic was slow in some places.. We got in around 4pm. We’re staying at Poche Plantation. Decided to see if we could see the Mississippi River. Our RV park is right across the street from it, but there are 15+ foot berms, aka levees, that we cannot see over. So we got in the van and started to drive and find a way to get a glimpse.
Found a pull over and we parked and climbed up the levee. We had to walk down a little ways but we got to see the river!
After the mosquitoes chased us back in the car, we drove around and found a bridge over the Mississippi.
