Donald took Josiah out for breakfast today.
When they got back, we packed a lunch and headed to Pedernales State Park. We wanted to camp at this park but when Suzie called to make reservations, she was told it was full. So we made a day trip out of it instead. I cannot say enough good things about the Texas state parks. They are very affordable (between $18-24 each night) with water and electricity. Most don’t have sewage hook-ups at the site but they have dump stations to empty out if/when needed. The showers have been clean and the water usually hot. So, thumbs up to Texas and their state park system.
It rained all night, 3 inches fell at the park we’re staying overnight.
As I mentioned in the previous post, we had stopped at this waterfall on the way home the previous night to catch a glimpse before the sun set.
Today, the water was MUCH higher.
yesterday and today

Suzie sat on the rocks and Donald and the kids ran on the rocks for about an hour.
Then a park ranger came and cleared all the people from the riverbank and made us go up to the overlook areas as the river was supposed to rise and possibly have a flash flood from the rain the night before (it had already risen significantly).

We hung around for a couple hours to see it but it never happened.
Came back to the motor home and ate fajitas and the kids played poker.
