We arrived at our campground in Dallas around 2pm. We’re staying at Cedar Hill State Park. We haven’t checked out the park yet as we’re going to be quite busy over the weekend. Here’s the view out of our front window.

Suzie and Kyrah went to do laundry and errands. We had some mail delivered to a friend’s house in Dallas so we ran to pick that up. We ordered a Gimbal so Donald can live-stream competitions with his phone.
When we got back, we ate supper and headed to Ft. Worth for the rodeo.
This arena, built in 1908, was home to the first indoor rodeo. They call it Cowtown. Click here for a little history….this place has seen a LOT!

They always begin a rodeo with a prayer and the national anthem.

There’s always the clown.

Trick roper

They invited all the kids ages 8-12 to come into the ring to chase a calf (they had a piece of duct tape on the calf’s back for the kids to pull off).
Audrah and Jedidiah participated. Neither got the tape, but both came pretty close.
We stayed until almost midnight watching slack after the show.

Awwww!!!! Steve is from a town near Cedar Hill. I taught a few miles from the Stockyards. We even had our rehearsal dinner at a restaurant in the Stockyards. So fun to see some of my favorite people in one of my favorite places!!!
I am enjoying your lives immensely from my old lady chair!
