It was a very early day today. We got up at 6am to get a good breakfast in everyone and headed out to the gym at 7:15. Had to be at the gym for check-in at 8am and we had at least a 30 minute drive (depends on traffic many times). Jeremiah’s age group ran at 9am. There were only two competitors in his age group so that competition went rather quickly. Jeremiah placed 1st and Marcus 2nd.

Then at noonish the adults/pros ran. No one is allowed to touch any obstacles before the competition. Since Jeremiah had already competed, he was allowed to touch everything. So he got to be the course demonstrator for the adult group and also answered a lot of questions by them about how different obstacles felt, worked etc. He was kind of their “beta” tester. We told him to enjoy it while he can because when his next birthday comes, he will be moved to the adult category and no longer able to be the demonstrator.
Here he is playing on obstacles. His grip strength is amazing!
An Asian restaurant owner came both days to the lobby of the gym and gave out lunch samples of the food served in his restaurants. He didn’t give out little bites on toothpicks, he gave away plates full of different foods! It was all very tasty. If you can, check out their restaurants. Kuai Asian Kitchen.
The gym mixed the masters and the pros together in the run order. Donald ran and then Jeshuah ran right after him.
None of the masters got past the 10th obstacle. The top three all made it to the same obstacle and fell. Only a matter of 30 seconds determined 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Donald placed 3rd. He had a really strong run!

Jeshuah placed 3rd in his division as well. Their competition was strong, there were 31 males in this category. Three of the competitors were from past ANW seasons.

Kudos to Ryan for running a great competition (he’s in the bottom right corner of the above picture). He was full of energy, was very encouraging and made really fun courses for all the age groups.
We went to Denny’s afterwards for supper (just us) and then stopped at Walmart for cookies for the after competition celebration.

We also got to see the Super Blood Wolf Moon eclipse!! Here’s a link to some amazing photos of it.
Will post videos of runs when we get them uploaded (need stronger internet signal at some of the places we stay).
Awesome!
