Today was another day filled with friends, food and fun.
Thanks Kristin and Jamie for bringing your kiddos out to spend lunch with us.
In the later afternoon, we headed to Pittsboro Christian Village to catch up with our 99 year old adopted grandpa.
We knocked on his door. No answer. Second knock, no answer. So Suzie and Josiah went to the Care Center area to see if we could locate him there. He often visits the residents there to sing or play stories on his story player. Well, we couldn’t find him in there and the nurses said they hadn’t seen him so we thought maybe he was taking a walk outside (not bad for a 99 year old huh?) So we set out to find him. Josiah went one way and Suzie the other. Suzie spotted him coming out of one of the homes on the property and she approached him and said hello. He didn’t act as surprised as she thought he would. He walked back to his apartment with her and only after seeing the kids did it dawn on him who it was! He though Suzie was a woman named Susan that works at the Village and he was confused as to why she would be out looking for him! After it sunk in that it was us, he had a smile a mile wide.
We asked if we could stay for supper and of course he agreed.
He played his new mouth organ that someone recently gave to him.
We ordered pizza and put birthday candles in his slice.

Unfortunately, Jeremiah started feeling yucky and ended up with a stomach bug. Later that night, Jeshuah came down with is as well. The rest of us downed apple cider vinegar in hopes to escape catching it.
I enjoyed the harmonica playing! Glad you got to reconnect with so many good folks! Catch you next time !
