Today Jedidiah beat his daddy at a game of chess. Donald has never allowed the children to beat him…he wants them to earn it. When they do beat him, they know they’ve really accomplished something.
So, today was Jed’s day. He was shaking towards the end of the game saying he hoped he didn’t mess up. (0: He jumped up and down and hooted and hollered he was so happy. Parents, don’t rob you kids of the thrill of earning their wins by letting them win.
The six kiddos went to lunch with Nannie at Culvers.
Jeremiah worked on putting magnetic catches on Nannie’s cabinet doors.
Kyrah and Audrah folding laundry.
Frank had to run a few errands in Ft. Myers so Suzie & Donald went along. We stopped at a new BBQ restaurant called Mission BBQ. It was very good and we would definitely go back again.
Way to go, Jed! It was a great accomplishment winning against your dad at age 10! Your next components will be your 3 big brothers;-)
