MRI, Doctor, Cookies, Bicycles and other random things

April 3-6, 2019

We came back to Port Charlotte to get Josiah an MRI of his shoulder and a Dr. visit to read the MRI. He did fine in the MRI machine…no claustrophobia.

Diagnosis: Small labrum tear. No ninja for now. Surgery a possibility in the future. Dr. says it probably won’t heal itself. He was okay with us continuing the trip and dealing with the shoulder later.

Donald has been retired for a year now. He met a goal of not setting an alarm clock for a year. He’s enjoying having time to smell flowers and watch butterflies.

While we were at Suzie’s parent’s house for a couple of days, the big boys helped do some attic cleaning. One (who shall remain nameless) created a bit of new work as well.

Found some neat old stuff in the attic too.

Donald and the kids got some bike riding in. They saw some neat things while riding around the neighborhood.

Gopher tortoise

A very tall thistle

Nannie taught Kyrah, Audrah and Jed how to make rice pudding!

SweeTea came for a visit.

Along with her sister Sydney and Suzie’s cousin Carol who takes such great care of these two dogs (Paul, her husband, does too).

Carol came over to bring us a paper that had photos of SweeTea in a parade a couple of weeks ago. She was a shark. (0:

The three big boys took Nannie out to the movies to see Captain Marvel. They went to the late showing.

Hanging out with cousins, watching Centennial and eating cookies.

Scaring cousins too

An orchid growing in Heather’s tree outside.

Celebrating Poppa’s 85th birthday a little early since we won’t be here on the 15th of April.

Visiting and climbing a favorite Banyan tree across the bridge.

Normal brotherly love(0:

Heading out tomorrow for Oklahoma!

  1. Love seeing all the pics! (Suzie, can’t get over how much you look like your ma!) What priceless memories to be able to send time with your family and Sweet Tea! Miss y’all and can’t wait til Wednesday!

  2. Awww, thanks for the nice compliment! I do love our girls. They bring us such joy! We are always happy to give SweeTea the opportunity to see the family whenever you’re here. We are so grateful you allowed us to welcome her into our home. She filled the void in our hearts after losing Freckles and we just adore her. ? Safe travels. Carol
