Today is our last day at Grand Canyon. We have to check out at noon so we only have a half day here. Started the day out with a pancake breakfast.

We walked the rim from the visitor center to the Geology Museum.

From this spot, you can see the suspension bridge over the Colorado River at the bottom of the canyon. The plate tells how the supplies for the bridge were carried into the canyon via the Kaibab trail (same one Jeshuah, Josiah and Jeremiah did), pretty impressive.

Those same Indians, the Havasupai, still have a small tribe living at the bottom of Grand Canyon. Their reservation borders the canyon. Here’s a neat children’s book about the mule train that takes the mail down to their tribe. The author actually took the mule train down with the mailman so he could experience the trip in order to write the book.

When we got to the Geology Museum there was an artist there sketching the Canyon. She allowed Audrah to watch for a little bit. Audrah and Jeremiah are our artists.

We checked out of our campsite and headed west. We are amazed at the change of scenery out here.
