Happy Birthday SweeTea!! Thanks Carol for the birthday photo!!
Today we drove 30 minutes to Texas to visit Guadalupe Mountain National Park.
First we stopped at a spring called Rattlesnake Spring that Donald remembers visiting when he took his trip out west 30 years ago. He says it looks the same as it did 30 years ago.
At Guadalupe, we hiked in the Chihuahuan Desert to two springs.
The first spring was called Manzanita Spring. It was surrounded by reeds.
We continued our hike up the mountain.

This is Smith Spring, it is a little oasis.
Lots of Yucca plants on the way back down the mountain.
