Last day at Yosemite

Sunday, October 13, 2019

We started out the day again at Olmsted Overlook. We just really like the views here.

Thought this tree growing around the boulder was neat.

We then headed to Lembert Dome.

Jeshuah and Jeremiah scrambled up the steep rock. The rest of us tried to get to the top via a trail but didn’t make it, Suzie had some sort of asthma attack so they hiked back down and the girls stayed in the car as Donald and Jedidiah went up a different trail to meet the big boys.

The stone is so smooth you can slide on down. They say that a glacier made the stone so smooth.

We passed a pullout with a pay phone. It has no dial tone and the phone book is dated 2003!!

We then toured the Tuolumne Grove of more Sequoia trees.

We hiked down a washed out road that used to be a tour road in the past. It’s now just a walking trail.

It’s just awesome standing under these giants!

Yes, we are tree huggers(0:

Another drive thru tunnel tree. This one was carved after it died.

The size of these trees is staggering!

A little Sequoia lesson:

Fall colors are starting to show in the forest.
