Today we drove from Tallahassee to Fanning Spring. The water is 72* year round. It was a cloudy day but it wasn’t too bad so 6 of us took a dip in the spring.
It was crystal clear!! You could see the sand roiling on the bottom where the water comes out of the boil.
This soring empties into the Suwanee River. This sign is posted on the riverbank.

That was a momma manatee and her baby. Don’t worry, Jeshuah didn’t touch them, he just swam around them with the camera. He has a snorkel mask that has an attachment for the camera….turned out pretty neat huh?
We parked in a walmart parking lot for the night. We got there around 6pm as we were only 10 minutes away. This was a good thing as it gave us time to go Christmas shopping a few at a time. We’re having a Christmas gift exchange with Suzie’s family when we return to Florida next week. We each have to bring a gift and then we draw names to determine the order of choosing and opening them. There is the option of snagging someone’s gift instead of opening one if you like their gift. The more people in the exchange, the crazier it gets. They call it a Chinese Gift Exchange. Here are the rules. Kids are looking foward to it as we missed out on it last year…we were in Texas on Christmas.
