Gulf Island National Seashore Mississippi

Thursday, December 12, 2019

Yesterday, Wednesday, was mostly a driving day from Texas to Mississippi. We over-nighted in a Walmart parking lot and then headed to Gulf Island National Seashore in Mississippi in the morning.

The National Seashore spans from Mississippi all the way to Florida with a string of barrier islands that are protected.

The weather was overcast and rainy. Haircuts were needed so we got that out of the way after lunch.

We then headed to the Visitor’s Center to grab Junior Ranger books for Kyrah, Audrah and Jedidiah. They had these neat benches carved from wood in the shapes of various animals.

It rained all evening and throughout the night so we pretty much just hung out in the motor home all evening working on the Junior Ranger books so they could be turned in in the morning before we left.
