Heading to Utah Lake State Park for a couple of days.
So we stopped at a rest area and saw this on the side of a mountain.
Any ideas what is causing this? Fire? Dust?
SHEEP! Being herded down the hill. We saw a dog and a person behind the herd coming down the mountain.
I like to capture barn photos.

Utah Lake is said to be no deeper than 12 ft at the deepest point of the lake. The mountains of rock surrounding it are beautiful.

Fun with a braid
We apparently brought a desert critter with us from Canyonlands.

Listen to the swarms of midges at Utah Lake State Park! We’ve never heard bugs buzzing like this!
Saturday the 29th
Bridal Veil Falls Provo Utah.

We hiked a trail to the upper falls.

At the falls we met some people who suggested we go to Midway, UT. So we did.
We visited the Homestead Crater. It is a hot spring that inside a crater. The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property. … As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface — eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called The Homestead Crater. The water level is now regulated so that it stays at a certain maintained level for swimmers and scuba divers.

This is the external view of the crater.
