Donald took Jeremiah out for breakfast so Suzie the rest of the kids had breakfast in the motor home and then took another stroll through the park.
We stopped at the woodworking shop in the RV park and got to see some of the craftsmen/women at work and their nice handiwork.
Then Suzie took Kyrah, Audrah and Jedidiah to the pool for a swim. It was almost 80* and the sun felt so good!!

Donald and the big boys worked on replacing the lighting in the motor home. Several of the lights weren’t working and they wanted to go ahead and change all the incandescent lights for LEDs.

After lunch we decided to visit a state park not far from the RV park.
It is called Bentsen-Rio Grande State Park.
We had hoped to get a glimpse of the Rio Grand and Mexico but that didn’t happen. This park is on the Rio Grande but doesn’t have any access to it for visitors. A lot of people visit this park for bird-watching. I think they said they had sighted 90 different birds there in recent weeks.
These were some we saw when entering the park. At first we thought they were road-runners but the lady in the visitor center said they were called Chachalacas.

We took in the view from the hawk sighting deck.

Always looking for trees to climb. This is a mesquite tree.

This is an ebony grove.

We couldn’t stay long as we had to get back and have supper before heading to the gym for open gym from 6-8pm. We actually ended up staying a little longer and then coming back to the park and Donald and the kids jumped in the hot tub late to help relax their muscles after working out.
