We started off the morning with a breakfast buffet at the RV recreation hall.

Over the past few days, several people at the RV park suggested going to South Padre Island…it was a 1.5 hour ride.
Our first view of the Gulf of Mexico.

At the beach.

The water temperature was 68*.

There were some pretty good waves.
Building sand castles.

Playing with the sticky sand.
Discovered “drip art”. The sand holds a lot of water and if you hold a handful and make it drip through your fingers, you can build things with it!

Right after Suzie took this picture a wave came up and washed it all away.

We thought this was an interesting handicapped parking spot. It was made of tiles/bricks. Someone didn’t do the proportions quite right as the neck is quite long. (0:

We stopped at Chick Fil A for supper. Then when we got back to the RV park, took one last dip in the hot tub and swimming pool.
Did you wave to us across the Gulf of Mexico?
That sand castle look like it took time to build if it was all with the dripping technique!
Yes, the dripping took a long time to build.
