Connecticut here we come!

February 14, 2019

Good morning!! Alarm went off at 6:30 am. We got the RV travel ready, packed the van and headed to the shop where we dropped the motor home off for A/C repairs while we’re gone.

We filled up on CFA for breakfast.

Then hit the road for a 10+ hour, 640 mile road trip in a mini van with all 8 of us and our stuff…..can you say sardines?

There were a few new states we drove through that we can add to our growing list.

Instead of going around New York City, we decided to go through it. Donald wanted us to get a glimpse of Lady Liberty so he endured the awful traffic to make it happen. Thank you Donald!!!

We also drove through Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY has largest number of interments in the USA, over 3 million. It is also one of the oldest cemeteries in the US.

Through a tunnel.

We arrived at our rental house at about 9pm. There is snow on the ground but the roads are clear.

The house is great!

Suzie, Jeshuah and Jeremiah did a Walmart run to load the fridge.

We all got to bed around midnight. There are plenty of beds for all of us.

Thank to Lord for safe travels for us.

  1. Hey Annette. We were only up in New England for the competition and a few days before and after. Visiting all the NE states was an afterthought. We barely got into Maine (Kittery) and had lunch and left.
On another day, we spent about 5 minutes in Rhode Island and maybe 20 in Vermont. But we did get to them all and can add them to our list of states we’ve been in on this trip.
