Another excursion to see things out around southern Utah.

First was a man-made tunnel called the Belly of the Dragon.

Come walk with me…

The stone is sandstone which can be easily vandalized as you can see in the video.

This is the view of the rear entrance.

Come walk with me again…

Good place to ninja

Swallow nests on the walls.

Then we headed to Sand Caves. These are abandoned mines.

Hiking up

Cool colors in the ceiling

Aren’t these patterns in the sand intriguing?

A little cave seat

Jeremiah pretending he is Winnie-The-Pooh getting stuck in his den after eating too much honey.

View from the cave

On to a spot where there are dinosaur tracks in the stone.

The tracks are way up THERE! Gotta hike up.

We headed back to Zion to find a waterfall/swimming hole that we had heard about.

The water made a nice swimming hole.

  1. The red rockwith openings on top reminded me of Petra with the rooms where people escaped from the enemy
