St. Louis Arch

Saturday, September 7, 2019

We drove today to St. Louis. We are going to visit the Gateway Arch. Donald and Suzie visited it 26 years ago.

First to spot it!

Closer…

Closer…

Dancing praying mantis

If you look carefully, you can see the Arch through the leaves.

The Arch is designed like an upside down hanging chain.

Jeremiah rode the escalator all the way down just using his arms on the handles.

Our tickets to ride the egg up.

The door…

In the pod…

The view from the top

The mighty Mississippi

Neat shadow of the Arch

At the very top.

In the museum at ground level.

Earned their Junior Ranger badges.

Carriages at the riverside.

We walked to a BBQ restaurant in town about a 1/2 mile away.

Always looking for ninja practice.

Walked back by the Arch after supper.

Jeremiah caught an airplane and the rising moon.

Kookie clock

Sunset hitting the Arch.
