We drove in to Glacier NP and headed to the Visitor Center first. Got Junior Ranger books for Kyrah, Audrah and Jedidiah and park maps. Then headed to the campground to grab a site (they are first come, first serve).

The Rangers suggested we visit the east side of the park today as snow is in the forecast for tomorrow. Unfortunately, the road that takes you through the park is closed halfway through the park. So you have to go out of the park and drive all the way around the southern tip to get to the entrances on the east side.

Bison herd on our way around the southern side of the park.

I had a really hard time choosing which pictures to post..I have so many of them and they’re all so scenic!

Horses walking down the middle of the road!

Free ranging cattle

One of the park rangers told us that there is only one visible glacier remaining in the park. This one. It’s in the middle between the two peaks.
They have been slowly melting away.

We saw a grizzly bear way up this hill. We saw people stopped and looking up there with their binoculars so we joined the crowd.

Audrah photographed this waterfall using the binoculars.

We took a hike. This tunnel was built long ago for horses to pass through.

Come walk with me…
Fall colors are starting to show.

Thought this black and white was kind of neat.

We hiked about 45 minutes down to a waterfall.

Waterfalls way up on the mountain.

It is just so BIG out here!!

Snow capped!

Red top is so lovely.

Cannot get enough pretty here…
Sunset

We didn’t get to see much wildlife though. The grizzly bear and some bighorn sheep. Maybe tomorrow.
Beautiful scenery! I can’t imagine the expanse! What a Creator!
