Today we leave the Redwood Forests and head to Yosemite National Park.
We drove down the coast a bit and stopped when Donald spotted seals lying along the beach in the sun.

We headed inland some and saw some beautiful country.

Obviously in grape country by the vineyards we could see. I like the looking at the neat rows and rows.

We arrived at San Francisco around 7pm. Donald decided to ride on the wild side and drove the RV and towed van over the Golden Gate Bridge and through downtown San Francisco!!

View of the city from the bridge.

Alcatraz

Downtown
We noticed that a lot of the buildings were shops on the ground floor and residents (apartments) on the floors above. So your apartment might be over a pizza parlor, Walgreens drug store or a Starbucks coffee shop (that would probably drive many of you crazy smelling coffee all the time).(0:

City Hall

We were so close to the street signs that Jed reached out and touched a street sign (while we were stopped at a STOP light of course).

Lines above for the electric trolley (bus).

Right after I took the picture of the cables, a trolley came by.

Glad to report that we got through the city without incident.

We stayed the night in a Walmart parking lot about an hour from Yosemite. We’ll head in tomorrow morning and hopefully be early enough to grab a first-come, first-served camp sight at the campground we’ve chosen.
