We got to the campground and were happy to find plenty of camp sights. We chose #1 and got set up. Jeshuah and Jeremiah took the van off the trailer for us to use. Here is how Jeremiah is helping Jeshuah park the van (yes, they were moving…not sitting still).

We were told that there was fire south of the park and that the smoke was being blown into the park.

First we took the road with the highest elevation Tioga Road. Figured we’d get above the smoke as much as possible. Our first stop was Olmsted Point. We were not disappointed.

There were plenty of rocks to scramble and run around on here.

The Sierra Nevada mountain range runs through Yosemite. It is a 400 mile granite range.

Getting some sun. There was a brisk wind blowing.

We climbed up even further and saw this lake in the distance.

Some wildlife

Giant boulders

If you can zoom in on this photo, you’ll see Donald, Jeshuah and Jeremiah on the top of that mountain!

We drove the rest of the Tioga Road all the way to the end and then back and headed back to the RV for some supper. The smoke made for a spectacular sunset!
