We spent our first day in Joshua Tree National Park. There are two deserts in this park. Mojave and Colorado deserts.

We started out on an off road trek. Donald likes to drive our Honda Odyssey in places where folks don’t expect to see a minivan.
When we arrived at our destination up about 5500 ft. elevation there was our van and two hummers!

We are at Eureka Point. It’s located at the NW part of the park.
Come walk with me…it was very windy up here.

Nice-sized Joshua tree.

Different kinds of cactus

Then we stopped to climb some boulders.

Can you see all my tiny people up on the rocks?

11-12 foot jump!
Loose rocks!?!?!

More jumping

Next was Key’s View. From here one can see the San Andreas Fault line.

More rocks to climb.

Salton Sea in the distance.
