Today was a hang out in the motor home, do school day.

We ate a late breakfast of pancakes around 11am. So we decided we’d skip lunch and have supper a little earlier. We had tacos at 5pm.

Decided to take a night hike as this is our last night here in Austin.

The sky was clouded over. There are no street lights in the park but the reflection of lights from Austin on the clouds allowed us to see where we were going.

We went down to where the old, enormous bald cypress tree is. Donald captured this neat photo. Notice the lighting.

We head out tomorrow for Waco, Texas. Hopefully we can see the Waco Mammoth National Monument. Not sure if they’ll be open due to the government shutdown. But we’ll give it a try. Space X is also located in Waco along with Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia place.
