Zion day 2

Thursday, June 27, 2019

Donald, Jeshuah, Josiah and Jeremiah got up early today and hiked Angel’s Landing.

This is Zion’s most popular hike and a dangerous one as well.

Yep, going to the top of THAT!!

You can see the trail winding through.

Yes, Angels Landing is up that narrow rock to the left!

In the forefront, you can see the chains that are installed on top of that narrow rock for people to hang on to in case they need that reassurance.

You can see how narrow the path is…that is for traffic going BOTH ways!

Gotta Jump

Headed back down

The views are breathtaking!!

After lunch and a rest, we all headed to The Narrows to hike that “trail”. It is probably the second most popular hike in Zion.

First you hike down a paved path.

Then the trail continues THROUGH the river. Yep, you have to hike in the water to go further up in The Narrows. The water is snow run off so it is cold.

Some neat flowers growing in the rocks.

Some times there was a little dry land to walk on.

The scenery was gorgeous.

You can see why it is called The Narrows.

Gotta do some ninja-ing too.

  1. Often I just stand there and am speechless…and I thank the Creator for all He has made and the blessing that I get to see it first hand.

  2. Absolutely magnificant, majestic and breath taking!! So glad you were able to hike there and enjoy the beauty
